Wedding music
Setting the right atmosphere for your wedding can be tricky. Music is often the best way to do this. However the bride and groom can have different tastes and ideas about the sort of music they would like to be played, and can sometimes focus too much on pleasing everyone. I booked a great Jazz band for an event this weekend, and i think they worked brilliantly because they were able to be versatile. Jazz is very popular for weddings but you need try to hear a band play before you book them. ‘Jazz ambience’ plays a wide range of popular music styles including latin (samba/bossa etc), swing jazz (ballroom, big band, bebop), pop (60′s, 70′s, funk etc), movie themes (Bond, Pink Panther etc), and background music (romantic and dinner) all with the unique Jazz Ambience style. Unless you have very specific requirements, look for a band that can be flexible and add to your event. It is always good to check if it is the kind of music people can have a dance to, even if it is just for background in the afternoon. An impromptu dance on the lawn is a lovely romantic way to start married life.

Invite Idea
If you are having a band or a disco and want to make sure that everyone enjoys the entertainment, why not ask for a song request, from your guests on the invites. Particularly if you and your friends have lots of favourite songs, with great memories attached.
Put a separate piece of paper in with the invites, to be returned with their reply. Ask for their requested song and a short message for the couple to be read out by the DJ. Collect them all up and give to the band/DJ in advance of the day so that they can prepare. You can always take a look through the requests, if you don’t trust your friends, should make for a fun evening, with everyone feeling involved.

Our first blog!
We are looking forward to being able to instantly share ideas and tips to couples planning their wedding day.
Our philosophy is that every bride should enjoy the planning process, as much as the big day. Remember you may be organising your wedding over months or years so it should be fun! If this means getting a helping hand along the way, then why not.
If you are very busy or not keen on cleaning you may employ a cleaner. You know you can clean your house yourself, but there are times when a professional, can do a better job on your oven than you could. I know i have gone off at a tangent but this is a good analogy. If you employ a wedding planner they can keep things tidy in the background for you, and help with some of the more tedious jobs.
“Remember you don’t have to do it all on your own”. Most of our work is undertaken on an hourly basis, its worth thinking about.
