Busy weekend 28th July

Last weekend I had 2 weddings on one day.

Luckily I have great support and I was only needed at one of the weddings on the day.

They were both marquee weddings, so they were mainly setup ready on Friday. If you are having a marquee wedding it is lovely to see the venue develop before your eyes. Most brides love to see the marquee before the day and be part of the process of decorating the venue in the way they designed.

If you have a wedding planner though it also means you can delegate the manual work and the time consuming elements and pop in to check on progress between getting your nails done. One of the wedding’s was in a private field by a lake, and the other was at Wimpole Hall a national trust property.

One thing I would mention though if you are thinking of a marquee wedding is to consider the clearing up after the event. There may be some things that need collecting the next day, you will need to ensure the marquee company or caterers are removing all rubbish. If it is a fixed marquee at a venue they may have another wedding the following day, but they should have plans to accommodate your flowers and gifts etc.

If you have a marquee on an open field etc, then you may also need to consider the security of the site for the days before and after the event.

Marquee weddings are our speciality and we can help you consider all of the factors to make sure you have a stressfree fun day!

Here are some snaps I took of the preparations for the day, professional pictures to follow…
