Megan and Stewart’s Wedding
September this year Megan and Stewart got married at a lovely village church just outside Cambridge.
They were a very organised couple, who knew exactly what they wanted for their special day. They also recognised that they had never planned a wedding before, and so we provided them with a helping hand when they needed it. Take a look at a few pictures of their extremely happy, smiley day.

An absolute pleasure to work with such a lovely couple. All the best for your future together.
Wedding day schedule
Just writing a timetable for a wedding this weekend.
I always write out a plan/schedule for weddings. It just acts as a checklist for the day.
But I also say to Brides to remember that things will change and that is fine. Brides often feel like they are in a ‘bubble’ and that they will not be able to make any decisions once they wake up on the day.
This is of course not true, and if you decide you want to wait a little longer before your first dance – then just say.
If you have had enough photo’s taken they don’t be afraid to let the photographer know.
Some timings are there for reasons of catering etc, but most can be shifted slightly.
Please comment about whether you wrote, or will write a plan for your day.
If you would like me to write one with you then give me a call.
Real Wedding photo’s
Congratulations to Ellie and james, 21st Aug 2010.
It was lovely to work with them, and the photo’s are a prefect reflection of the day.
I love the colour choices, for the bridesmaids and the stunning cake.
Best Wishes to them both for a happy future!
Good Luck
Please please please, if you are getting married this weekend take a moment off this week with your fiance. Go for a meal, or picnic tea – a moment to cherish before the wedding. This is a precious and exciting time so savour every moment if you can.
Try to really feel the romance of the occasion. If you are screaming at this and snowed under with ‘to do’ lists, then even more reason to take some time to relax together.
Good Luck to you all, and especially to Steph and Jason. I can’t wait to see it all come together on Saturday.
Give us a call if you need a hand, its amazing what we can do for an hour that might save you half a day. http://cherishweddingplanning.co.uk

Can you plan a wedding in three months?
Two weeks ago I met a lovely couple who wanted to get married in London this summer.
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. They did the right thing by enlisting help. They were capable of doing all the work themselves but by asking for professional advice they are ensuring that things keep moving.
We started with the venue, keeping to their list of requests. By the end of the week they visited a few and chose the Orangery in Holland Park. Because they settled on a date in mid August this has pushed the planning forward, and they have been great at making choices.
So, it is perfectly possible. My advice would be to keep things simple. Ask the venue to recommend local caterers, florists, etc.
Contact music agencies and get them to do the research for the best band.
I would spend 2 weeks getting organised, making decisions and booking suppliers, then have a bit of time off to think it through. Next, enjoy buying your dress, rings, accessories, and honeymoon.
I really believe some of the most charming weddings are planned very quickly. Because it tends to help couples keep their focus and remember only those things that are important to them.

Kind words- happy newly weds
So great to hear back from newly-weds, our aim is to ensure that everyone we work with enjoys the process of planning their wedding, as much as the big day itself. It is important to us that couples have no regrets, and can ‘ Cherish’ every second from the moment they get engaged, right through to the honeymoon.
“ Zoe was on hand with emails full of ideas and contacts. She put me in touch with the wedding dress lady and I was able to find my perfect dress from her. Zoe also emailed me about a hair and beauty artist who then became the make up and hair lady for the wedding party. It saved a lot of time having contacts already there and that were recommended too. I found the service provided by Cherish weddings a helpful, friendly one, and made my day so much easier to plan” Jo and Pete Nov 2009
Have a wonderful day!
We want to wish Joanne and Pete all the best for their wedding on Friday 30th Oct. Looks like it will be a lovely, bright, warm day. Who would have guessed it for the end of October. You have been very thorough in your planning, as ever its hard to believe it has all come round so quickly it seems like only yesterday you were buying your dress. Can’t wait to hear all about it, and see pics. Enjoy New York!
