Colour splash Wedding

Inspired by these chocolates from ‘Melt’ in Notting Hill, as favours or treats for the guests.

I then started researching more ideas, and clashing colours are really fashionable at the moment.

I hope you like some of these fun touches -

I hope this inspires you…. Please send me your pictures/ideas.

Spring Wedding Inspiration

What a great time of year- lovely flowers, fresh air, new beginnings, clear skies, crisp mornings and the rest of the summer to look forward to.

Here are some pics to inspire you

White Weddings

Last week, I was asked by Brides magazine to contribute to a feature they were doing on ‘White Weddings’.

Well it got me thinking. So I will share some of the ideas, it might inspire you to go for a white wedding theme.

SPRING WEDDING

White marquee, in a field of daisies. Tables decorated with snowdrops, and bridesmaids wearing self made daisy chain headresses. White bunting strung from the marquee poles and a white chocolate fountain for dessert.

SUMMER WEDDING

On a white beach, with simple chairs and white shells to decorate the reception. Lovely relaxed feel, in your flip flops with white candles on the tables in the evening.

AUTUMN WEDDING

Hire a funky white minimal venue, perhaps even an art gallery, with white walls and fantastic lighting. Drink white cocktails and give guests lovely oversized white corsages to wear, either on lapels or wrists for ladies.

WINTER WEDDING

Obviously in the snow, like the Icehotel in Sweden. With lots of white fur rugs and large white candles on the tables.

I love this kiss stamp, with red ink pad.
I could get completely carried away with it – invitations, order of service, napkins.
It might all be a bit girlie, but love and kisses what could be more romantic.

Cox & Cox have lots more lovely romantic table decoration and favour ideas.

Butterfly Weddings

Personalising your wedding is the best way to make sure you have a unique and special day.

Everyone likes the chorus to a song, because this is the catchy bit . The chorus for your wedding is the personal touches, that guests will remember and enjoy.

It should reflect your personalities and the ‘ feel’ you want to create for the day.

'Alice in wonderland' wedding inspiration

Posted October 5th, 2009 by cherishweddings and filed in wedding theme

Last week, when discussing a wedding with a bride for next year. We talked about the wedding having an ‘Alice in wonderland’ feel.
I love finding an idea that can give inspiration for the personal touches to a wedding. So when i was asked by Helen from thefizz.co.uk, to explore wedding themes this seemed like a perfect choice. Take a look at the feature and let me know what you think.

Alternatively you could go slightly more dramatic, and take inspiration from Tim Burton’s new movie based on the book, out March 2010. Picture below is from new released trailers to the film.
