Order of service with attached confetti

This is a clever little tip.

Make up bags of confetti and attach to the order of service.

Then you can be sure all guests have confetti to hand and they will think it is a nice touch.

Be sure you advise people where and when to throw it, your photographer or wedding planner can co-ordinate this for you.

Keira Knightley’s wedding dress style

Keira Knightley got married in France this weekend – 4th May 2013.

Will her style be the start of simpler, shorter wedding dresses? and the return of tulle and champagne colours?

I quite like this relaxed look, and i think it is going to be the way forward for many couples.

The dress is very beautiful and stylish ( not white). His suit is informal but very crisp.

She has on simple jewellery, and daisy chain tiara and pink ballet pumps.

They certainly make it look effortless, and european destinations are very popular at the moment.

Perhaps the only thing i am unsure of are the sunglasses, but i am sure they were removed once they were in private.

They are perfect for putting photos in of the couple with friends and leaving on tables. Works well as a talking point, stylish, personalised and fun!

Or you could be more creative and add text/picture as a menu, or plan for the day. Would also work well for children.

Balloons as wedding decorations

In the past balloons at weddings have not been very stylish.
I think they are making a come back and can be really fun and quite striking as decorations.

I would keep the colours simple and the over large ones seem to work best.

A wedding blackboard as a back drop for photo’s and for guests to scribble on later in the evening.

This idea is really easy to do, just get a large board and paint it with blackboard paint.

Buy some chalks and start experimenting. Simple to do, fun to create and personalise for your special day.

If you are getting married this weekend, then Congratulations.

A wedding should have a starting point and some initial inspiration but this should not really take over into a theme.

I always advise to choose things you like and then it will all come together as a reflection of you both. Do not worry too much if things match, and do not try too hard to coordinate. Choose carefully but do not set yourself too many rules – other than budget.

Easy to make a DIY version too, and fill with the bride and grooms favourite sweet treats.

Sounds like a great day out, but sometimes it can also be frustrating.

Must admit though however long it takes to find the perfect dress i think the old fashioned way of going to lots of shops, having a few sips of champagne and enjoying a girly day out is hard to beat. Even if it takes several goes. Enjoy this moment, you only do it once !
