MARRIAGE LAW CHANGES
There has been some talk recently about a few changes to UK marriage law.
💘MORE LOCATIONS TO GET WED
This could bring a boost to the wedding planning industry and couples as it will open up all sorts of spaces for ceremonies to take place. There is a 2 year review on this but it could allow people to get married potentially in their own back garden. Yay, more marquee weddings!
💌MARRIAGE LICENSE CHANGE
This one is a proposed change to how you obtain your marriage license. At present you collect it on the day at the ceremony. New thinking is that you register it after the ceremony and collect the paperwork then perhaps within a week.
Always good to keep an eye out for these law changes, these 2 are just in the early stages but the first one could mean more choice for couples on the search for the ideal space for their wedding ceremony.
